  3. Happy to hear Nate is enjoying Phase 4. He did great on Phase 3, so he was able to really stabilize his base weight, he should have an easier time keeping his weight steady on Phase 4, even with the dryers peanut butter cup icecream.
Great going on the cleanse, Zena and Lionel. You have 6 others that started with you guys yesterday, 3-23-09. Phase 1 will not be too difficult. Eat like how you are now, just stay away from carbonated drinks and artifical sweeteners. Aloha all!

    ReplyDelete
  19. we are very happy with the weight we lost.it is getting easier to cook dinner for my family and giving them cookies and milk .we are on day #9 in phase2.eat well everyone

    ReplyDelete
  20. i used to eat a lot of regular cookies and milk, but now I try to eat healthier versions of it. Try organic milk or organic soymilk, chocolate soymilk is good too. goats milk is another healthy alternative. As for cookies, safeway has a pretty good organic vanilla sandwich cookie, and down to earth also has some good cookies. Great harvest bread has good pastries too! Once you're thru with the program, you'll find you're cravings will subside and if you do your homework, you'll know which food additives to stay away from, for instance with desserts or sweets you want to stay away from anything with high fructose corn syrup, modified flours, anything man-made and not natural, it's a good habit to start. Good job people! Aloha, Laurent

  44. I've been in phase 2 since May 2 and have lost 22 pounds so far. That's not the most amazing thing though - what's amazing are the compliments! I've been doing this kinda undercover - only a few people know - everyone else is just astonished!! Ha ha! It's an incredible self-esteem boost and it reminds me that I'm finally doing something TRULY good for myself.

  45. BISON CELERY SOUP

    3.5 oz Bison
    Allotted Celery
    1-1/2 c water
Whatever seasoning you like (I do garlic, salt, pepper)

Throw it all in one time. Bring it to a nice rolling boil. Turn the heat down to low-medium and let that baby simmer. I usually cook it at the same time I'm making lunch. When I'm done preparing lunch, I turn the heat to low and let it go. When dinner time comes I've got hot soup ready to eat and the rest of the family is salivating!

    ReplyDelete
  49. My husband and I ate a lot of PIZZA!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Hi This is Aunty Lucy. Eat all you can girls because you will wish you did once you start your diet. Eat all that you will miss on Phase 2.

    Congratulations on finishing Phase 2!.

  53. I've been on the Phase 2 diet for 5 days and lost 8 pounds so far. I feel pretty good my energy is better than before the diet. I'm having a hard time with the cooking though, how do I make chicken without it getting so dry?
    Thanks,
    Koa

    ReplyDelete
  54. This might be a stupid question but I am going to ask it anyway. Can we have gum while on this?

    ReplyDelete
  55. From what I know, NO GUM. Aunty Brandy says "if it's not on the list you can't have it." But I think you can have it in Phase 3 :)

    ReplyDelete
  56. Ok, I gorged on Saturday and Sunday and ate like I never ate before. I wasn't sure if this was going to work, but I did it. I was sick by the time Sunday night came around but I still forced myself to eat a bag of Doritos, Cool Ranch, before I went to bed!
Yesterdays menu was chicken and asparagus for lunch, followed by 5.5 oz of apple and dinner was steak and onions. I had my second apple at 9pm, before I went to bed because I did not want to go to bed hungry. I woke up this morning to find that I had dropped 5 pounds from yesterday!!!! Hooray! It really works, I'm a little hungry today, but totaly worth the weight loss. Thanks for all your tips! ~Chris

We it felt like we couldnt even finish our meals. hehehe I ordered a family size pasta from Pizza Hut and didnt even eat a third of it. 61. Hello I'm Bobbie, I'll be working with brandy at the ala moana kiosk! I'm on my third day of phase 2 and feeling really good! I lost 4 pounds my first weigh in and 2 pounds my second. The first day was ok. I was out and about so I packed all my meals. It was a small struggle because there was alot of "bad" food around me. When I weighed myself the next morning and saw the scale I felt very encouraged. The second day was a little harder just because /i was working at pizza hut haha, but I got through that day just fine :-) Im on my third day and it's looking very promising. My body feels very alert to my suroundings and my senses have all been heightened. I'm happy with the progress so far! Hang in everybody! if I can do it and feel amazing, so can you!!

Last night I got home from work and was changing into sleeping clothes and I felt the back of my legs. ALL the celulite and dimples from my legs are GONE! Even my mom saw the change, It feels great! This is WORKING and I'm LOVING it. I'm even enjoying the variety of meals I can put together! It's a good lesson on how to cook naturally and healthy. I'm glad that when I'm done with my weight loss, I'll be able to take that with me and cook for my family, friends, and myself. Keep up the weight loss everyone so we all can have healthy life styles!

We're finishing up our 2nd week in Phase 2 and so far this week has been the most challenging for us. During our first week we lost 10 lbs each and now ending our 2nd week we're at 12 lbs just 2 more lbs. from the 1st week ? ? ? ? ? ? We kinda anticipated a slow down, but dang! We still have our spirits up cause that's way better then gaining. And we're so looking forward to week 3 we hope it's as successful as week 1 was.

We love reading your progress in the program it truly keeps us both motivated. Keep up the good work :0)

Aloha 2 sisters, keep on keeping on. Just remember the light at the end of the tunnel. Keep to all the rules and don't watch "grass grow." That 2nd week might have seemed like that. 84. Hi Everyone, this is Cobey. I just started phase 4 (maintenance) this week. My choice of starch or a treat was a "healthy" fresh whole wheat natural chocolate chip cookie from Down To Earth Bakery(no weight change). Phase 3 was really nice because you get to increase calories, but still eat clean and healthy...so the crazy cravings went away. I actually started to lose weight the last week. Stick with the program to the "T" because it's all worth it!!! I would say that week 2 thru 6 of phase 2 was the absolute hardest! So Sisters, do not worry, I would sometimes take 4-5 days to lose a pound. My cravings were unbelievable and I really had to dig deep into my self control. I also came to the realization that I ate when I was bored...especially at night watching TV before bed. I sometimes forced myself to go to bed so that I wouldn't be tempted to eat.
I am considered a "small" person and was only able to lose 15 pounds, but I am very happy with my results! Thanks Brandy! I wear a junior's size "0" jeans and still can't believe it. I am 42 years old and a lot of people think I'm in my 20's...that's so weird. Hang in there, we are all winners in this wonderful weight loss journey.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Hi this is Kau'i, and I'm in my 3rd week of Phase 3 (started August 24th) and as of today I lost 28.4lbs in 17 days, I'm so amazed at this!! Sending a shout out to Celeste and Lei, who just started Phase 2 yesterday, congrats on the immediate overnight weight loss, cheehuuu!! Hang in there ladies, it does work!!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Sisters here...Wow, This is some great words of encouragement. Colbey, thank you for that we really needed it. We are chugging along and taking everyday in stride. I just wanted to share that I was almost going into a size 16 and just bought me a size 12. As for my sister she went down a size. We have been creating more and more menu's and we are enjoying it. Veggie's became one of our favorites. We are on day 20 of our 2nd phase we both are at 14.8 & 14.4 lost in pounds. Keep up the great work everyone!!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Aloha my beautiful women!

These blogs are soooooo encouraging! I get encouraged to keep doing what I'm doing when I read what you guys are doing.

Cobey thanks for your encouragment, it's so appreciated. You know what it's like to "watch grass grow," but you've seen it to the end, and you found the light at the end of the tunnel, and its full of all the food you want! Keep up the good work.

Kaui, girl, when I seen you at the mall, I almost fell down! You are literally like half your size, half way through, on your way to maintenance. You pushed through that major obstacle when you went to the party and didn't eat, you can accomplish anything.

Sisters, you are very fortunate to have have the support you have from eachother, this is what will take you through Phase 2. I can see the sizes lost in the both of you, keep up the good work, can wait for our next appointment when I can size you up again! :) The changes you are making will make an impact of the health of not just yourselves, but everyone you love too.

    ~Brandy

  93. Oh My Gosh! I am freaking out right about now. Yesterday I weighed in the same weight as I did the day before and this morning when I weighed in I gained .8. I was off yesterday and pretty much chilled all day with my water bottle at my side. What is going on? I know I got 2 more days to see if I am at my plateau then I will need to do the apple day protocal. I'm so scared to be gaining.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Hi everybody, Susan here. I was so excited to get started on Phase 2 and super motivated by all the awesome success stories from the blog. My first day I lost 3 lbs. and today I weighed and lost an additional 2.5!! Thanks for all the encouraging posts and yummy recipe ideas. I have a long way to go but you guys make me believe I can get there...thanks!!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Hi, don't freak out about the weight gain. You're not actually gaining. Its just water retention. As long as you're not deviating it'll be ok, just keep to the plan and dont let it discourage you. If it does continue for the four days then the apple day will be ok. It can be frustrating but you're doing great!

  109. Good morning everyone. It is 7:30am, Tuesday morning. It is a beautiful day. Enjoy the time you have on Phase 2. It is quite like being on a fast for 6 weeks (though you are allowed to eat) but you are still completely restricting yourself from things you would "rather" be eating. You are doing something good for yourself. Take this time and read, learn about something new. Many of my cients use this time to brush up on ther cooking style by watching the Food Network Station. Why don't you try journaling. Write every day about what you feel when there is no food around, or use this time to decide what life changes you are going to implement once off of Phase 2 and eating again. This is the time to do it because once you start eating again, you won't have time for it. Make the most of your Phase 2. You are doing something most would not dare. Aloha, Brandy.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Thanks Brandy...those words of wisdom and suggestions are very valid and empowering, especially during Phase 2. For those of you in Phase 2, keep pushing forward, the success you get out of this program is totally worth it! This was truly one of the hardest things that I ever experienced in my life, but the rewards in the end make it all worth it!!! I know it's hard to imagine while you are going through it, but just hang on for the great ride.
Now that I am in Phase 4, I find that I spend a lot of time trying to make sure I feed my body all the clean healthy foods it needs to function efficiently. I am eating everything I want, and believe me, you really won't want the "bad" stuff that made you gain weight in the first place. I feel like during Phase 1, 2, & 3, my body got so purified and detoxed of all the bad stuff that I don't want to pollute it with anything harmful. Such a life changing experience!
Oh, I saw my personal trainer for the first time last night after 3 months and he totally freaked out! I didn't tell him about the program, but he knows that I am eating healthy now. He actually told me that he cannot take credit for my transformation because he couldn't achieve the results with exercise alone!!! Thanks Brandy! Love, Cobey

  112. 3 pounds, that's great! Keep focusing on that light Jo and you'll be so happy with your result and yourself in the end! I'm on my 9th day and have lost 13 pounds so far. Have you tried the beef and cabbage yet? It's so satisfying! Aloha, Susan

  113. Aloha it's Aunty Lucy. Susan looked great, I saw her this morning, keep up the good work.
Jo, 3 pounds in 3 days is really good. With weight watchers, you'd lose 1-2 pounds per week. It really gets easier as the days go by, make your meals delicious because that's all you get. The time will go by quickly and you will be eating very soon. Aloha, Aunty Lucy.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Thanks Auntie Lucy! You look great too, and your story with the program is so inspiring to me, as I'm sure it is to everyone else! I'll see you and Brandy again on Oct. 13th...hopefully you won't even recognize me...lol Aloha, Susan

  124. One of the sisters here. I just wanted to note that we are on week 5 in phase 2 and we both have lost just over 20 pounds each since we started the program. We had our ups and downs during phase 2 but we managed to get this far, I encourage everyone to just stick to the plan, it works.

Recently we saw Brandy and we couldnt get her mouth off of the floor. hehehe We are looking forward to phase 3. The list gets shorter with stuff we CANT eat. So exciting!

We also wanted to add that the orange smoothie was awesome. We was so excited to try it that we had our drink like right after dinner. My sister always gets full during her meals but as for me this was the 1st time on this program that I felt content at the end of my day.

Anyone has any other recipes to share?

  125. Happy Monday everyone. Susan here. Hope you all had a nice weekend. I'm beginning my 3rd week today into Phase 2 and have lost a total of 16 pounds! 126. Happy Monday everybody!!! Hope your weekend was as fullfilling as mine was:) This morning i begin day 7 and i'm down a total of 12.5 pounds!!! i bought a top a month ago that was too tight to keep, but i hadn't had the chance to return it. This morning i put it on, just to see if i could manage to get it to stay on without rolling up past my mid-section, and it fit! My daughter told me to leave it on and wear it to work:) i'm so stoked! all that after just one week! Keep up the good work everyone - and where can i find that orange smoothie recipe???

    ReplyDelete
  127. Good for you Jo! Wear that shirt today and SMILE! Have a great week everyone :-) Susan

  128. All we did was take the alloted amount of oranges, blend it really well, added some ice and some stevia and blend again. If its to thick you can add some water but not to much. Poured into a really nice glass and drank it from a straw. You will love it!! Got the idea from Brandy who got the idea from another client. Thank you to who ever told Brandy about it!

  129. HI, Today I met with Brandy, I think I went thru every every emotion, from the moment on the phone talking w/ Brandy that I could do this, I need to do this to getting there face to face with Brandy thinking what am I doing here, I can't do this. Then leaving with Brandy's assurance that I CAN DO THIS! Then getting home thinking I am crazy, what am I thinking!
BUT, after reading everyones encouraging blogs, I feel much more confident that I can do this!
Have to admit I am looking forward to eating everything in sight in just a few days!

  133. Hey Kharis here! It it is now my second week And i have lost 18 pounds in eleven days! Its amazing how this really does work no other diet or exercise could do this for you. And i don't even have to rearrange my schedule it fits right in with it!! I love that! alot of people are asking me don't you want to cheat at least once? and i tell them No.. Because getting on that scale the next morning makes everything worthwhile even if its a pound or ounce! All that food i might be missing out on means nothing compared to looking and feeling better about yourself all thanks to Auntie Brandy and this very special solution! Thank u Susan congrats on the 17 pounds!! Thanks for the encouragement! Its nice to hear others joys and downs on this AwESOME experience!

  134. Congratulations Susan! i've had a very emotional week with some personal issues, and my weight loss has stalled for a couple of days. After 2 days of no weight loss, I got on the scale and found that i've gained .2 pounds this morning. Your blog helped me to shake it off and look forward to seeing the numbers on the scale dropping again real soon :)

    ReplyDelete
  135. Aloha Everyone great to hear how everyone is doing. Congrats Kharis, you're doing awesome, and Jo, you're doing awesome too girl! Love your attitude :-) Sorry about the week you've had and hope this week is better! Life brings us all bad days but you can't let it keep you down or from getting back to doing what's good for you. .2 pounds is no big deal at all and I'm certain that it'll be on the down slide again soon! Some days I stay the same and then the next day my number goes down more than I expect. If we all stick with the program we can't lose! Well, we can but it'll in lots of pounds!! Keep on keeping on everyone. Aloha, Susan

  136. Aloha Everyone from the Island of Maui, This is my first communication to you all but my 13th day in Phase 2 and 15lbs lighter...Oh My! I knew the day I met Brandy that I was ready for this... and for another way of investing in myself... But never knew that it would have such an amazing journey! I didn't know that my neck was sooo long :-) Feeling even better to hold my head up high! Today! I thought since I can see the inches disappearing? (We all have those jeans that are too small but look great and just cannot part from?) I thought why not! Pull it out and started to slip it on... it didn't get stuck by my calves... so kept on... it then slipped right pass the thighs... (smiling!) then I thought maybe I should take a breath in and suck it in like we are normally do to get into those favorite ones... AND I DIDN'T HAVE TO... it zippered right up... so I never took'um off... I'm wearing it! (teary eyed)... TO YOU BRANDY! MY HEART IS FULL OF GRATEFULNESS TO YOU FOR SHARING THIS LIFE CHANGING OPPORTUNITY WITH MYSELF AND MANY OTHERS! MAY YOU CONTINUED TO BE BLESSED IN ALL THAT YOU DO AND ALL THAT YOU SHARE! I'm loving the food... loving every new day... the scale is now my friend...
As I continue to cook for my husband...I try to match up our meals...so when I cook fish for him, I have fish...but I feel so bad to cook the way we always do...but have started to make small changes which he doesn't realize... Anyways, when I'm around foods which I cannot have...it's so funny to me...cause I just SMELL! And it smells great but no side effects :-) ha ha... So, to my new friends may all continue to be blessed as we journey to a new tomorrow! Much Aloha, Collette

  137. Aloha all and happy Monday! Hope you all had a nice weekend. Nice to hear from you Collette and congrats on your weight loss! I too love the smells...lol Today I begin week 4 in phase 2. After 3 weeks I'm down 19 1/2 pounds. My first week was 11 1/2, second week 4 pounds, and the third week was also 4 pounds. If this progress continues I'm hoping to have a total of approx. 31 1/2 pounds by the end of my six weeks, and possibly more! I may try to add some walking to my daily routine to help with weight loss. Hope everyone is still feeling well and enjoying their journey! Aloha, Susan

  138. Hello, hello:) Today is day #15 for me, and i'm down 16 pounds. After having about a week of plateauing, and a +/- .4 pound differences, i was a little gloomy. But my mom brought it to my attention, that losing 16 pounds in 14 days is pratically unheard of and that i should just keep up all the hard work, because i could very easily reach my goal of losing another 19 pounds by the end of my phase 2. Best of all, my husband has really started to notice, and his attention is never in short supply anymore:)

  139. Hello all, one of the sisters here. We have completed phase 2 and is working our way into phase 3. The last couple of weeks was rough for us but we managed to stick to the plan. Now in phase 3, we are really scared to eat. Everyday we step on the scale we are still losing. We thought that we had to maintain our weight not lose more weight. The transition at this moment is a little hard because we dont want to get caught in our old habits. To everyone, stick to the plan...its so rewarding to see your weight and inches decrease everyday. Also like Collette said to fit into that favorite pair of jeans feels even greater. Just know that you wont be able to fit that jeans much longer so wear them all you can...hehehe...All my clothes that was "painted" on me is really baggy on me and its time to let it all go. bye bye old me....hello hello new me! I must say I feel great and I look great. All of my co-workers are noticing and they all say something about it. Feels wonderful! Good luck to all!

  145. Aloha Everyone! And Huge Congratulations As You Journey on To New Beginnings! Sunday after church I joined my daughter and family for lunch AT A FOOD COURT! sounds crazy to set myself up! But I proudly opened up my vegetables already pre-cut and had the vendor whom my daughter them ordered from microwave my protein and as I started to assemble my lunch it actually started to look like one of the mexican salads...It was great! I got to enjoy every bite and take in the smells of all the different foods around me! I was actually stoked that it didn't bother me at all...somehow as I looked at them eating their foods that I too use to enjoy...I, like you don't think I can go back to that...we'll see when I get into phase 3 and make the transition.
But in the meantime, Much Mahalo for all of your communications...and continued success step-by-step and meal-by-meal and pound-by-pound.
    Aloha, Collette from Maui

  154. Phase 2/October 18th/Sunday
    Start weights
    Jon/214.
    Kim/122.
    On third day of phase2
We both loss weight since our first weigh in but we do know water weight is the first to lose. Cant wait till the scale shows past 10 lbs for each of us. We have tried certain recipes and some are enjoyable and some so so. Trying to find the right combination for meals to be all enjoyable. Food seems to keep us full for longer than you would expect with such small amounts but hunger is sporadic depending on time of day. Thanks for the post and encouragments.
Thats mahalos to Kharis, Nate and Collette. And also to that anonymous who started at 235. Wow with all the testimonials its nice to know we are all pulling for each other. Good luck and hang in there. Hopefully we will all have more good news in our next blogs.

  155. Aloha Everyone! This is Cheryl and I just finished Phase 2 with a total weight loss of 31.6 lbs! Tomorrow will be my first day eating and I'm both scared and excited. Reading about some of you continuing to lose in Phase 3 is encouraging. My jeans and shorts don't fit anymore and I'm needing to go clothes shopping. This program has made me a new person, and my family loves it! I'm doing so much more than I used to, and I don't need to take naps every day. I don't huff and puff when I walk up the stairs anymore, and I feel much stronger and healthier! I talked to my sister long distance the other day and she said I even sound different. It has been very difficult keeping to the strict meal plan, but I've learned the importance of feeding my body good, nutritious foods. I've never eaten so healthily in my life! I look forward to preparing healthy meals for my whole family in Phase 3 and we can all eat the same foods again (minus carbs and sugars for me).

Mahalo Brandy and everyone for the encouraging words and support!

    5th Day of Phase 2
Diet has been a struggle but we have kept up the strict meal intake and are seeing results each day. Not the great amount of wight loss like the first couple of days but morning time is full of anticipation.
Kim has been preparing the meals two days in advance which makes it so much better. We find that tea does help with the sweetner(artificial of course) We are both determined to get through this program with the results we imagined.
Today we went for a walk by Diamond Head which we think will only help.
I went to a family gathering at Chilis and watched everyone eat but I survived somehow. Saving my dinnter till after when I got home helped along with my second apple. Made it something to look forward to after the dinner.
Cant wait to get throught our first weekend and to our follow-up meeting with Brandy on Tuesday.
Great job Cheryl. Wow 31.6 lbs. We will be watching for your next blog on your Phase 3. Good luck to all.

  157. Happy Aloha Monday everyone! Susan here....I completed my 6 weeks on phase 2 and now I'm ready to transition into Phase 3 which will start this Thursday for me. My total weight loss has been 30.5 lbs.! I started at 189.5 size 12 pants and XL tops and today I'm at 159 lbs. size 8 pants and M tops. I reached my goal of 30 pounds and couldn't be happier. Just encouraging everyone to stick with it! You can do it and you'll be so proud of yourself. One thing I'd like to share is that I found when I took my supplement of Bio-CMP tablets regularly I lost more. I forgot about them for a couple of weeks and that's when my weight loss slowed down. As soon as I started taking them again it picked back up. I'm a little nervous about going up on my calories but looking forward to having more tasty foods to choose from. Hope everyone has a great week and congrats to everyone on their success!

    8th Day of Phase 2
Kim has been making the foods a lot more tastier which helps a lot. I have lost 14 lbs and Kim has lost 8 lbs so far. Some days the scale bounces back to the weight the day before but over the next day the weight comes down again. We are trying hard to stay with the program but here in hawaii with all the foods. HAH. You all know what I am talking bout. I am sure we all think bout what one food we wish we could eat during this phase. Its hard but we both look forward to the morning scale. I keep telling Kim that we can hang on for one more week and then see how we both feel. I am thinking we will have lost so much that we will complete the whole phase.
Hey Susan congrats! Let us know how the phase 3 is going and what you get to eat the most that you enjoy. Hang in there everyone.

ps. I find that I love anything(shrimp/scallops/hamburger with stewed tomatoes and hot spices.

  159. Aloha everyone! My name is Maile and I recently started on the program with my family. There are a total of 5 of us.!
I did not read all the posts until today (day 9 of phase 2), but I am so happy I did. We have been supporting eachother, but to read everyone elses success stories, really motivates me.
    As of today,
    Mom -12.8#
    Dad -10.2#
    Mai -15.4#
I will do my best to keep everyone posted on how things go from here on out.
Thanks Brandy for making such a change in all of us!

P.S. check out the chicken salad and tomatoe salad recipes I posted. They are ONO!

  160. Where can I buy the "Bio-CMP"?

    ReplyDelete
  161. At natural wellness by Brandy :-) Bio-CMP was a bottle of the supplements that she gave me when I started phase 2.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Almost blew it........whew...thank goodness Kim is so much stronger. Oh she was hungry as much as I was last night but she is determined to stick it out. I was ready to get those 2 tacos for one dollar at you know where. Haha. She wanted to kill me!! We both laughed the rest of the night and finally got to sleep.
Had another meeting with Brandy today and she was totally understanding on our cravings. Brandy kept saying that the results are more than worth the hunger pains during Phase 2. It was a much needed talk.
As I have said in earlier blogs, we will take phase 2 week by week.
Hang in there all. And dont be afraid to put your stories up here. Hey I cant be the only one thinking bout Jack in the Box!
Hey Maile welcome to you and your family. And good going on your loss in phase 2. Kim and I are also on the 9th day of phase 2.
Good luck and stick to it.

  163. Thanks for the welcome Jon! I am finding so much inspiration as I read through all the posts on here.
For us, I have found that it is the "natural" reflex (aka our bad habits) to grab a snack that is the hardest. We live on a property with some of our family (that are not on the program) consisting of two of my brothers, their wives and a total of 5 nephews. We are a typical local family, so you can imagine the kind of snacks we have around the house.
Just last night, my bro got some fresh fish, so a bunch of friends were over cutting, eating and prepping all types of stuff. I normally would be right in there, but I am so focused I was able to talk story and not pick. Im not saying it was easy, but its worth it.
This program is not only helping me lose weight...its making me a much stronger person!

    ReplyDelete
  164. Jon, Kim, and Maile...first of all way to go Jon and Kim on resisting that temptation! YOU CAN DO IT GUYS! Phase 2 will be over before you know it...hang in there and be strong! You're doing something good for yourself...nothing tastes as good as the weight you'll lose and the satisfation of knowing you're in control of your weight and body. It will get easier as you go through each week and find yourself stronger because you stick with it and see the reward.

I'm on my last day of transition into phase 3 and I thought I would be super hungry without the drops but I'm doing fine by myself on the 500 calories. I also lost another pound and a half! So total lost now is 32 pounds. Tomorrow I'm excited about making my garden omelette with cheese! I've also been rewarding myself with healthy magazines and by going to the mall and trying on clothes in smaller sizes! I'm fitting into a size 8 jean and I'm stoked!

You're all going to get happier each passing week! Hang in there and stay strong...try and make your lunch and dinner as tasty as possible. Mix it up and try different spices. If you're not drinking teas I would suggest making iced green tea...Tazo makes one called "Zen" that is delicious over ice with Stevia. Also remember to use your orange or strawberries in a smoothie! They're pretty filling.

Ok, enough for today....keep up the good work everyone! Susan :-)

  166. Hi everyone. I'm Felicia and it's so nice to hear of everyones experiences.
    Day 1 weight: 133
    Day 2 weight: 129.4
I lost 3.6 lbs in 1 day on the diet. It's weird, I know it's only been 1 day, but I already feel skinnier. I'm not that hungry, but I think the idea that for 1 month, I will not have anything than what's on the "list," is finally hitting me. We have a wedding to go to on Saturday and I don't know what I'm gonna do. Susan, you have really encouraging words, Jon and Kim keep it up, i'm 8 days behind you. Maile, awesome weight loss! and Bobbi, thanks for saying that Phase 3 is not hard, I havnt even lost the weight yet, but i'm scared to gain it back...I always gain it back***********but not this timej!!!! Thanks, Felicia.

  167. So great to see everyone posting! Hi Felicia and welcome to the blog! Way to go on your first day! I'm writing again to ask that if anyone has recipes for salad dressings or anything thing else acceptable for phase 3, please post! I start tomorrow and I'm trying to come up with some good suggestions for recipes.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Hey everyone.....way to hang in there. Yes we all agree its not easy but well worth it. We are all in different times of our lives but we all have the same goal of taking control. Congrats Susan for completing phase 2. Let us know what you will be enjoying without any guilt for this phase please.
    And hello Felicia.
Good luck during the upcoming days especially at that wedding. I suggest you time your meal just before you go and maybe even take one of your fruit choices to the event. I admit being around food is tempting but by then you will have had a few days under your belt and believe me you wont want to start again.
    Good luck to all.

Wow. I'm shocked. Last night I went out with some friends to listen to music. I got to see my favorite band but did not get to eat or drink a thing.
I watched as everyone ate pupus and at first it was hard but then I reminded myself why I was doing this, and it was no problem. I was happy I stayed strong, I lost 3 pounds this morning.
I'm really trying not to ride the "roller-coaster." Trying not to fantsize about food. The one thing I really am amazed about is my renewed sense of mental clarity!!! See you tomorrow!

  174. Good job everyone, I went on the program about 5 months ago. Its a great program and its unbelievable how much and how fast you can lose the weight. Here's some advice. Always hydrate yourself. I tried to drink at least a liter, maybe two by mid-morning. That way your third and maybe fourth will be throughout the day and with your meals. Don't worry about what other people are eating, remember, its only for a few weeks that you are on this restricted calorie phase, and its soo worth it! Don't be afraid of little loss in weight after huge losses the first week. Sometimes, or actually in the beginning of phase two, we get real spoiled by pretty big weight loss, 2-3 pounds a day or more. And then when it slows to 1 pound or half a pound you freak out. But remember, there is no way you could lose a pound or even half a pound of fat a day. Remember where you were before the program, losing a half or pound a day would've made your day but now because its relatively small weight loss on phase two you get worried. But don't worry, its okay and you will continue to lose weight thru the entire phase. Just stick to the program. I also really checked my meals if I did gain or plateau and found out that over seasoning (too much salt )can be a culprit because it makes your body retain water. Listen to Brandy and Nate, they know the program really well, and don't get discouraged, you're really doing a great thing for yourself and your health. You will feel great, and remember, it's only a temporary restriction on your diet. Actually before you know it you will be eating regular food, but you will really want to eat way healthier because you will really feel what bad and good food does to your body. I ended up eating a lot of salads, fish and chicken, after the program no more fast food, maybe once in a great great while but hardly ever. I'm real happy with the results and my body and mind feel so much better. Keep up the hard work and you won't regret it at all!! Aloha and have a great day.

  178. Aloha, Susan here! I'm 6 days into phase 3 and maintainig my weight just fine! I'm enjoying eating cheese sticks and grapes for in between meal snacks and making fresh fruit smoothies too! For lunch today I went to Aloha Salads in Kailua and ordered the Cobb w/out dressing. I am splitting it between my lunch and dinner. It has fresh greens, sliced egg, crumbled blue cheese, grape tomatoes, sliced avacado, and bacon. I found a delicious dressing at Down to Earth called "Annie's Naturals, Tuscany Italian Dressing"...it's so delicous and has no sugar and only 80 cal for two Tbsp! I'm finding I'm enjoying my many small meals throughout the day and have not really been hungry! I can also enjoy a glass of red wine with or after dinner! Hang in there all and keep up the weight loss. Oh yeah, I'm also having non-fat latte at starbucks with Stevia! What a treat!! It's a whole new world now with a whole new way of looking at food...how wonderful :-) Thanks Brandy!

  182. Hi Jo, No, the Annie's dressing I found says "no added sweetner", and on the list of ingredients it doesn't list agave. It has water, canola oil, balsamic vinegar, tomatoes, sea salt, garlic, xanthan gum, oregano, basil, parsley, and black pepper. It's called "Tuscany Italian Dressing" and it has't caused me any problems on phase 3 :-)

NIce to see more blogs and success stories. As of today, I have been on the phase 2 for 20 days and have lost 19 lbs. Clothes are lose and feeling strong each day. Look forward to my meals especially the chili (beef with tomatoes and chili seasoning) Tried some combinations and didnt like some and like others. I find that now days I am not hungry but still do have cravings for certain foods. I know after phase 3 I can pick and chose whatever I want to eat. But I think I will chose healthier meals than non. After all these days of phase 2, its like I never want to go through this again. Hah. It is nice to know I have some control over my life and food finally. Good luck to all and keep blogging.
    cya in about a week.

  187. Hi everyone, Just want to report that I'm 10 days into phase 3 and stabilizing nicely. I'm doing what Jon mentioned above....which is choosing to eat the better combinations of food and staying away from higher calorie/fat foods even though I might be able to have them. Tonight I went out to eat and had the petite sirloin only seasoned with salt and pepper, went to the salad bar and made a nice salad and topped it with balsamic and a tiny bit of olive oil. I also had steamed broccoli and a glass of red wine. It all tasted so good and it was satisfying! I got on the scale tonight and after a full busy day of enjoying good food I'm still at my new base weight! I'm so happy and feel a new sense of wellness and security about food! Best of luck to everyone on their own journey with this. Aloha, Susan

  188. ALoha, Its me Brandy.

Thank you all for being such good clients. You are all doing an amazing job at something that is ultimately one of the hardest things to do, make change.

Whenever I'm having a hard day (it's not allways easy to work with so many different personalities on one of the MOST touchiest subjects) I come to the blog and read about your efforts. Whether its a great week of weight loss, or it was a hard night of struggle, I read about ALL OF YOUR EFFORTS on your continual path of self-improvment, and that is what keeps me going.

All of you are so inspiriational, it keeps me focused on why I am doing this, and i do love what I do.

Keep up the good work, take care and feel free to call if you need help.

  190. Aloha Everyone,
Oh My! It's been about 4 weeks since my last blog. Much apologies for not keeping in touch... Last blog was on the beginning of my 5th week of the 2nd phase...and today I am on my last week of the 3rd phase... What a Blessed Journey this has been and will continue to be... How amazing to look back at Phase 2 and remember the days when I couldn't wait to get to Phase 3 and now approaching the end of Phase 3... the time comes quicker than we realize. I can't comprehend how much I am able to eat with the increase of the calories and STILL maintain my base weight (at the end of Phase 2)! I'm actually excited to see the scale read each day just a difference of .2 reading day to day...even after giving it more thought of what I consumed the day before! Our church had an early Thanksgiving Dinner for the families and I headed up the event...knowing what kind of food was going to be served was the true test! But my plate was just as full as everyone elses but no fat, no sugars, no starches! And this was before we all had NO, they all had desserts...but I did go to the table and smell the desserts which has become a funny time for my sisters at church who now have interest in possibly coming on the program, when I venture to do it ALL again in either January or February! Yes! I said do it ALL again! I need to get to that healthy weight which means another 30 pounds! So, as for blogging I'm here to stay! So, to the Blogging Ohana! Continued Blessings For A Healthier You and A Healthy Journey! And to Brandy...Your scheduling for me couldn't be more perfect! The 20th my first day on Phase 4-1st starch; 21st 2nd day of one starch; 22nd 3rd day of one starch; 23rd 4th day of one starch and then TUESDAY, 24th (2 days before Thanksgiving)1st day of sugars! I remember your ? of which is the first sugar you want to implement? and I mentioned, NOT chocolate but an ACAI Cup from Jamba Juice... which I miss very much... Count down is near and so is the Holidays...MUCH MAHALO!
    Be Blessed Everyone,
    Collette from Maui

Today I broke through the 30# mark. I was so excited that I tried on an outfit that I haven't been able to wear in over a year ...IT FIT! Oh my gosh...I feel so great and am so greatful to Brandy for bringing such an incredible program to Hawaii.
Keep up the awesome work everyone. The hard days are so worth pushing through. You will love the new you and love the new life you will be able to enjoy!

  196. Aloha everyone! Susan here..it's been quite a while since I've reported in. I'm well into phase 4 and managing to stay within 2 pounds of my new base weight. When I get to the 2 pounds I follow the steak protocol and by morning I'm back to my base weight. It's been so simple and I've been able to enjoy foods in moderation with family/friends during the holidays. When the new year arrives I am going to go through another round of drops in hopes of losing another 20 pounds. My goal has been to stabilize and maintain what I've lost during the first round, and so far I've stabilized for 6 1/2 weeks! Congrats to everyone on their weight loss! Wishing you all a very happy and healthy holiday season!
